Could you please correct this english written text about roboter? I need this for my gfs

Humanoid robots weren't practicable for a long time, because they shall react and act independently. Besides that, they should work with the support of two arms and two hands. Since the year 2000 the basic problems seemed to be solved. Nowadays new developments in this field are realised regularly.
An actually project of humanoid robots is a robot, which is similar to a child and is mastering certain abilities like crawling. Other abilities shall be learned and perfected.
